Angular Curves

From "Floral Origmai Globes" by Tomoko Fuse. Called Curves Type 3, if I recall correctly.

Ok, so this is the first piece of origami I've uploaded in ages. I did it a while back, about a month ago... Out of the dozens of variations in the book, this one caught my eye because of the fake curves. MAYBE it's possible to not crease those middle sheets, which would be incredibly awesome, but as it is, the creases are needed. I just thought it ironic that not only are the middle pieces "curved" by placing two angles in it BUT the entire 3D shape is considered a globe, despite it being a bunch of triangles.

And don't ask me why I chose pink and blue. If anything, it reminds me of bubble gum or cotton candy. I wanted something lighter and two complimentary colors... and these were the colors in the origami pack.
